WALNUTS

Besides being rich in Omega 6, that converts to Omega 3 in the body, walnuts are thought to protect against heart disease. They have more polyunsaturated than saturated fats, a healthier mix than found in most nuts. We do not eat these in excess though, due to their high fat content. I mix them in all my recipes, as this way we can benefit from all the nutritive properties, without eating too many at one time.
